Chapter Director's welcome
I want to take this opportunity to officially welcome you to the 2021-2022 season. My Name is Jason Pratt; I am the Chapter Director for the Michigan Educational Theatre Association, and I could not be more excited to work alongside you this year as we continue to uphold our mission.
I think we can all agree that those improvisation skills have come in pretty handy lately, and for better or worse, you are still here. Through cancelled productions, online instruction, struggling to learn new technologies, or dodging the plethora of COVID-19 hype words; last year was indeed unprecedented, am I right? You are still here. You are still here because you are great at what you do, and you are exactly what those students need. You are still here because your community would crumble without your leadership and involvement. You are still here because you are part of our family and you are valued.
We have a big year ahead of us. Thank you for being a part of our family, and for trusting us to be a part of yours. The adult board of Michigan Thespians will be working hard this year to develop new and improved events and resources that I empower you to take advantage of.
I would like to leave you with two personal mottos to consider throughout the year that I use in my program constantly. Steal them if you like them:
You can do hard things
Don't stop until everyone is proud
Thank you for being here, and I look forward to talking with you again soon.
Have a great year,
