The EdTA Hall of fame is the highest honor for a theatre teacher.
Michigan, annually, nominates (at most) one teacher with outstanding character, merit and expertise in the craft of teaching theatre to be considered for the EdTA's National Hall of Fame. The EdTA receives hundreds of nominations from all 50 states and narrow that down to just a handful of teachers to be awarded the honor.
Traditionally, the selection of the candidate from Michigan is made by selecting one META Hall of Fame candidate that has at least 20 years of teaching experience and whose contributions have made a significant and lasting impact on META, their schools, and the students of Michigan.
