The Adult State Board is comprised of dedicated volunteers that aim to help theatre students and directors through their volunteer work with the Michigan Educational Theatre Association.  Together we help one another on events as well as talk and share information and resources that help in our teaching and creation of shows.

Official membership entails attending at least two (in-person) meetings a year and holding a specific job relating to one of our events, such as the Festival, Leadership Camp or STOs.  We welcome you to join us anytime though to just get an idea of what we do and to meet other theatre teachers from across the state.

The Governing Board is another volunteer board.  Member are elected and serve for a term of three years.  The governing board consisters of 5 voting members in addition to the Chapter Director (who is a non-voting member).  The Governing board sets budget, creates protocols and rules for the organizations as well as take cares of the long term interests of META.  Typically, members also serve as traditional Board Members.
